Esther Rantzen opens office in Luton Indoor Market
Luton, Bedfordshire, UK - 15/10/2009 - Following the announcement, back in July, that TV journalist and campaigner, Esther Rantzen would be standing for the parliamentary seat of Luton South in the next general election, the prospective candidate officially opened her information and advice centre in Luton’s popular indoor market on the 19th October 2009.

The event, took place at 11.00am, saw the opening of a new drop-in centre that offers local people a comfortable and private venue to meet with Esther and discuss their interests and concerns.
Commenting on the opening, Esther Rantzen said: “The market is at the heart of the community and offers me the perfect location to reach out to the electorate and find what really matters to the people of Luton.”
“I’ll be at the market, ready to lend a listening ear, so people can drop in for a chat.
“The office opening hours will be posted outside our new home in the market, together with details of how to contact me directly.
"I would like to thank Town and Country Markets for kindly accommodating our new centre, along with the traders who have made me feel so welcome.”
As a prospective independent candidate, with a long career in public life and a reputation for getting good things done, Esther says “My ambition now will be to bring real opportunities to Luton. Let’s make Luton proud!”
